Rustic Penne Pasta

I would like to introduce you first to Shirley J's Universal Cream Soup Base. Well, the name pretty much says it all! This is the first product I used, and how fitting, because this week's recipes are all about CREAM SOUP BASE!

(pictures to come, buying a new camera today! Wahoo...)

Let's get started...

Rustic Penne Pasta

  • 1 cup Shirley J's Cream Soup Base
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 Quart Stewed Tomatoes, with water
  • 1 Quart Stewed Tomatoes, drained
  • 1 lb. ground Italian sausage, cooked and drained
  • 2 tsp. Shirley J's Pizza/Pasta Seasoning
  • 2 boxes of Penne Pasta
  • Grated Parmesan

Whisk together Cream soup base and water. Bring to a boil, then add both quarts of Stewed Tomatoes. Add ground italian sausage and pizza/pasta seasoning. Let simmer for 10 minutes. Cook penne pasta until al dente. Drain. Add pasta sauce to the penne, and VOILA!

*Top with Parmesan
*Serve with garlic bread, fresh salad and peas!

Now, was that easy or what! Try it out and let me know what you think!
